Ezi-Maid
Ezi-Maid is designed for one of the most physically demanding tasks in hotel housekeeping: making and cleaning around beds.
Safer housekeeping. Cleaner rooms. Smarter hotel operations.
Created by hotelier John Koorey after building his own hotel and recognising the risk of housekeeping back injuries, Ezi-Maid has become a practical workplace safety solution for hotels, resorts, motels, hospitals and accommodation providers around the world.
The system is designed to lift beds to a comfortable working height, allowing housekeeping teams to make beds and clean underneath them with less bending, less strain and greater access.
Designed for the hospitality industry
Housekeeping teams are the engine room of every hotel. Their work directly affects room presentation, hygiene standards, turnaround times and guest satisfaction. Yet bed making remains one of the most repetitive and physically demanding tasks in
daily hotel operations.
Ezi-Maid helps reduce the strain.
The bed lifting system allows the bed to be raised from the floor, creating easier access for making the bed, cleaning beneath it and maintaining a healthier room environment. The result is a more efficient, more ergonomic process that supports both staff wellbeing and operational performance.
Why Ezi-Maid matters
For hoteliers, staff safety and room standards are closely connected. When beds are difficult to move or access, housekeeping teams are placed under unnecessary physical pressure and cleaning underneath the bed becomes harder to maintain.
Ezi Maid addresses this directly by helping hotels:
- Reduce bending and physical strain during bed making
- Support fewer back injuries and injury-related claims
- Improve access around and beneath the bed
- Create cleaner, healthier rooms
- Assist with faster and more efficient bed making
- Improve housekeeping morale
- Support light-duty work options where appropriate
The system has been developed specifically for hospitality use and is already installed in hotels and accommodation properties internationally.
Practical solutions for different room types
The Ezi-Maid range includes manual, electric and spring lift options to suit different operational needs.
The Heavy Duty Electric Lift is a robust steel frame installed beneath the bed. With a compact height of only 90mm, it lifts the bed base to waist height using a remote-controlled motor. The bed can be lifted approximately 500mm off the floor and moved out from the bedhead, allowing full access around and beneath
the bed. The electric lift is suitable for single, double, queen and king beds, and can lift up to 130kg.
The Ezi-Pedal Spring Lift is designed for single ensemble beds. Operated by a simple foot pedal, it lifts the bed to provide 450mm clearance, making it easier to clean around and underneath the bed. The spring lift system is best suited to ensemble beds with 100mm legs.
A safer way to make the bed
Ezi-Maid brings a simple but important shift to housekeeping: beds can be made in a more upright, accessible position.
This reduces unnecessary bending, supports better posture and helps create a safer working environment for housekeeping teams. For hotels, this means a more sustainable approach to room servicing, with potential benefits across staff retention, injury prevention, operational consistency and room cleanliness.
Ezi-Maid helps hotels protect their people while improving access to one of the most overlooked areas of the room — underneath the bed. By supporting safer workflows and cleaner room presentation, it offers a meaningful operational improvement for hotels that take housekeeping standards seriously.
