The story began with the Lind family exploring how surplus leather from the furniture and fashion industries could be given a new purpose. What started as an experiment evolved into a distinctive collection of functional, beautifully crafted design pieces — defined by clean lines, tactile surfaces and enduring quality.

Today, LIND DNA remains a family-run business, with founder Preben Lind working alongside his daughter, Mie Lind. With design and production closely connected in Denmark, the team can move quickly from an initial idea through prototyping to finished product, while maintaining control over quality, materials and detail.

Pioneers in Recycled Leather

Since 2013, LIND DNA has been at the forefront of working with OEKO-TEX® certified recycled leather, making responsible material choices part of the brand's DNA long before circularity became a wider design conversation.

High-quality surplus core leather from furniture and fashion production is collected rather than discarded. The leather is granulated into fine pieces and combined with natural rubber sourced from trees, creating LIND DNA's signature material.

The composition of 80% granulated core leather and 20% natural rubber gives valuable material a second life while creating a surface that is strong, durable and designed for everyday use.

Natural, water-based colours are used to create an extensive palette, allowing LIND DNA designs to complement a wide variety of interiors and design schemes.

Designed & Crafted in Denmark

For LIND DNA, local production is an important part of the design process.

Products incorporating the brand's signature recycled leather are designed and crafted in Denmark, bringing development and production closer together. This allows ideas to be tested, refined and brought to life with agility, while maintaining the attention to detail synonymous with Scandinavian design.

The result is a collection that feels considered rather than complicated — functional products with a strong material story and a distinctly Nordic aesthetic.

With seven recycled leather textures and more than 100 colours available across the collection, LIND DNA offers exceptional flexibility for hospitality and interior projects.
